---------- Previous Courses --------------
---------------- WormHole Support ------------------------
Using the new, web-based queue.
First, you need to be registered as a Wormhole Assistant. You should have received an email from [email protected] entitled “[A-Whole-Apple] TA/LA Password Set Up”. This will direct you to create a password for your account that uses your ONID username. If you didn’t receive this email or have problems contact me ([email protected]).
• To reach the queue web page, go to https://wormhole.physics.oregonstate.edu/. Click the login for Wormhole Assistants.
• Logging in takes you take you to your profile, which has an updated count of open tickets, a link to get a new ticket and a list of your recently archived tickets. It also has your profile information and a place to change your password.
• When you click “Get a new request” you’ll be assigned a ticket from the queue. This will tell you who logged the request and which class they’re in. (For this term, all request Tables will be E-Campus. You can ignore that.)
o Go to the course channel on Slack and look for the student with the question.
o If the course channel is very busy you can send them a message and ask them to come to the #virtual_wormhole channel.
• When you’re done with a request, close it by choosing one of the options.
o Return to Queue if you couldn’t resolve the question and the group would like to talk to another Assistant. Their request will be put at the top of the queue but not returned to you.
o Request the Next Ticket or Go Back to Your Profile if you resolved the request. First enter in the box how many students you helped.
o No Show if the student was no longer there.
o Mark Redundant if a student had accidentally logged two requests.
• When your shift(s) are over, log out so you don’t get messages that might be sent to working Assistants.
Note: You won’t be able to request a new ticket until you’ve closed your current one. You can navigate away from a currently assigned ticket page and return again through your profile page.
