PH20x labs will all be on campus synchronous labs. There will be pre-lab exercises to be completed before you attend lab, but they will not be submitted.
You can also view and download your lab instructions in the OneNote (PDF also available) lab manual which can be found through the link above. Please read through your lab instructions and answer the short pre-lab questions before attending lab.
You must have the TA mark you as having completed the lab in order to receive credit for completing the on campus labs. It is your responsibility to make sure that the TA marks you as having attended and completed each lab. You must complete all labs in order to pass the course! If you do not, you will receive an "I/F" grade for the course and will be contacted by the instructor after the term.
On campus labs are performed in WNGR 234. Original work is required as per the course code of conduct. You are encouraged to bring a laptop or other capable device on which to keep data and notes for the lab during the lab. If you do not bring a laptop or other device, your group can use a computer in the lab. Read the lab instructions before coming to lab. Lab worksheets must be completed and checked by your TA by the end of the lab period as passing work.
Missed Labs: If you miss a lab, please contact your lab TA. Lab TA contact information can be found on the Boxsand homepage for your course. You can often attend another lab section that same day or same week, which is usually the easiest solution. You must ask for permission from the lab TA whose class you wish to attend. Realize that we have limited capacity and if the lab is full, the TA will probably turn you away. There will be make-up sessions during and/or at the end of the term. These makeup lab sessions are published in the course homepage.
Prior Lab Credit: Students that have passed the same PH20x or PH21x (course, not just the lab) at OSU, in the past 2 years, with a D- or better are not required to retake the lab (although it is still suggested). If you would like to use this exemption, then please send your instructor (not TA) an email with the subject heading “PH20x lab exemption request.” Include the following information in a clear bulleted format: 1) your name and email address, 2) your ID number, 3) course ID (20x/21x) 4) the term and year that you took the lab. I will email you a confirmation by the end of the week. Students who qualify and choose to opt out of the lab will have the midterms and the final exam weighted more heavily.
