Physics 20x | Where do I find stuff |
This class is organized through the BoxSand.org course website you are currently on. All of the open source study materials for this course, including text, video, simulations, and a host of other resources are organized through the BoxSand site. You should find the course website to be your one stop for all information and directions related to this course. Canvas also some organization of the course material but since most of it lives on BoxSand, you are often just redirected back to this site. Conversely, the pre and post lecture homework, along with the alternative asynchronous lecture activities, are delivered through Canvas Quizzing. Even though they can be found on Canvas, they are also linked to on the BoxSand site through the calendar on the Homepage. The goal of making a seamless experience for students to navigate the course is achieved through the BoxSand Homepage. These Getting Started pages will guide you through the syllabus. But once you have read through these, the Homepage will be your most used resource for finding content during the term. Here is a short video which explains the course Homepage.

You can find the Homepage on any page of Boxsand, just scroll to the bottom of the page. After watching the video above, take a look and make sure you understand each of the pieces on the Homepage.
You can also find stuff on the course syllabus. So far we have been linking directly into pages on the syllabus but it is important to see the organization of the syllabus in it's entirety. Click on the link below to look at the pages of the syllabus. You do not have to go into each page and read them, you are already doing that by going through this Getting Started tutorial.
Once you have checked out the calendar and seen what is available through the syllabus, it's time to move onto the What's Up With Lab page linked on the arrow below.
